"Without the bishop you should do nothing, but should also be subject to the presbytery, as to the apostles of Jesus Christ... In like manner, let all reverence the deacons as an appointment of Jesus Christ, and the bishop as Jesus Christ, who is the Son of the Father, and the presbyters as the sanhedrin of God, and assembly of the apostles. Apart from these, there is no Church."
Saint Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr, 2nd Century
Acts 2:42 offers a picture of the common life of the early Church after Pentecost:
"And they dedicated themselves to the apostles teaching, the communion, the breaking of the bread and the prayers."
This apostolic ideal is still very much alive in the hearts of the members of missions. Come and join us as we seek to follow Christ together and proclaim His Kingdom!
